Blacksmithing Demos and/or Lessons
Ever wanted to hit something with a hammer and have it be a good idea? Now’s your chance. Keenemetal’s own Blacksmith Chris is opening up the Lexington forge for lessons and live demos—because he loves teaching, talking, and making metal do things it really doesn’t want to do.
Whether you're curious, crafty, or just enjoy the sound of clanging steel, come watch and possibly learn the ancient art of blacksmithing (and maybe pick up a few life lessons along the way). No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and maybe a healthy respect for fire.
Come for the sparks. Stay for the stories. Leave with something you made. Probably a hook. Maybe a lifelong hobby.
Contact us for more info: MetalingKeene@gmail.com or 617 458 1809. Contributions requested to cover the cost of materials which include steel, coal, actylene and others.
⚠️ Safety Disclaimer:
Blacksmithing is hot, heavy, and occasionally dramatic. For everyone’s safety, hands-on participation at the forge is offered at the discretion of Blacksmith Chris. Not everyone may be able to swing a hammer right away—and that’s okay. Watching is just as fun and just as sweaty when the forge is lit!
